Mantras of The Mother
The 274 sayings in this book, reproduced here in facsimile, were written by The Mother in 1954: For a period of nine months she wrote one saying a day in the diary of an Ashram sadhak. Most of these sayings are original sentences, written expressly for the sadhak. About one-third, however, are translations by The Mother of sentences first written earlier in her "Prayers and Meditations". These translations occur mainly in the diary entries for the last four months of the year. There are also a few sayings not by The Mother but by others; they were copied by her from The Eternal Wisdom, a collection of sayings of various thinkers and sages of the world.
